I am a theatre artist working in the Boston, MA area.
This weblog is devoted to sharing the details of my professional life as a theatre artist and manager working in Boston, Massachusetts.
I have always felt lacking in that I did not have a website dedicated to my career, but my perception of web-resumes is that they are either overly boastful or desperate pleas for a job or both.
So I liked idea of a weblog based on my professional life that could be both a platform for promoting my projects and resume, but also a journal of events that would let people in on the fine arts theatre community in Boston, as seen by my work in it. If successful, this blog will be useful for people or organizations who want to work with me but also a place where friends and family can check in and see what I've been up to.
Many of the postings will have to do with projects and programming of SpeakEasy Stage Company, where I am currently employed and have been for the past three years.
One note about the conversational style of reporting on this blog: I did say that this was to be a record of my professional life. The content will reflect the professional demeanor I try to bring to everything I work on. If you are looking for gossip or criticism of people, organizations, or projects, this is not the place for you.
