"An off-duty police officer is charged with the murder of 17-year old Jose Ives, and the Ives family is never the same." so says Michael Bettencourt, writer of Esquina, and creator of a lovely and moving portrait of a greiving community. I will be directing a staged reading of this play for the Boston Theatre Works Unbound festival of new plays. There will be two performances, Thursday May 20th at 7:30pm and Sunday, May 23rd at 6:00pm. All shows at the Boston Playwrights' Theatre, 949 Commonwealth Ave.
The talented cast consists of Elaine Theodore, Jim Bodge, Isaac Sierra, Michael McKeogh, Sara Chase, Jennifer Nario, Mark Carver, Renee Miller, Maureen Keiller, and Bill Gardner.
